Soma Shape Shifting: An exploration through movement, sound, and play tracking body parts, energy, and imagery through the use of pedestrian movements, metaphor, and personal life experience.

Since ancient times the power of dance, storytelling, painting, and ritual have been used to reveal, heal and teach.

In this approach to movement bases expressive arts, we work with the interplay between life experience and art expression to uncover and explore the compelling themes and questions in our lives.

Each art medium—movement, drawing, and creative writing-become a vehicle through which we encounter ourselves and shape new possibilities. Our improvisational dances, drawings, and poetry hold metaphors and messages that allow us to reflect on and dialogue with our history, who we are now, and the changes we would like to embody in our lives.

Expression, Healing, Change, are acts of embodiment. What wisdom do our bones and tissue hold?

Allow your breath, imagination, and intuition to lead as we travel through a supportive container of movement, drawing, poetry and sound. No experience necessary. Your life is your art.

A commitment to the whole series allows for a supportive container through which to work with each other intimately.
