Dr. Ronel is a board-certified plastic surgeon with offices in Albuquerque and Santa Fe.  He specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and body.  Trained at Columbia and Cornell, he brings a world-class, Ivy-League education to the tranquil atmosphere of New Mexico.  His practice is a marriage of science and art -- requiring creativity, a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, and a highly skilled attention to detail.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Ronel provides surgical enhancements that are tailored to each patient's personal interpretation of beauty. He embraces both state-of-the-art surgical techniques as well as more holistic and non-traditional methods of wound healing.

He listens carefully to understand his patients' desires, expectations, hopes, dreams, and anxieties, and then tries hard to accurately convey his ability to achieve the desired results. As a board-certified pediatrician as well as a plastic surgeon - he is the only person in the United States with these two certifications - Dr. Ronel has a special degree of compassion that he imparts to his patients of all ages.

Dr. Ronel uses non-traditional techniques to improve healing, recovery time, and to minimize scarring - including homeopathic medications, portable pain control devices, and cutting edge procedures that concentrate and utilize wound-healing factors from the patient's own blood. Since New Mexico is recognized as a unique environment for healing, Dr. Ronel has arranged for special rates at excellent hotels with spa facilities for patients who would like to convalesce after surgery.   Patients may participate in postoperative treatment plans, which may include ultrasound therapy, body wraps, and energy healing.

Dr. Ronel graduated with honors from both Princeton University and the Columbia medical school. His pediatric training was at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (University of Pennsylvania) and Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard University).

He donates a portion of every surgical fee to philanthropic activities. Current areas of focus are medical missions to end blindness in Africa, social programs for youth-at-risk, and the community and arts in New Mexico. He is a founding member of the Santa Fe Community Foundation Circle of Care and the Daniel and Elizabeth Ronel Fund for Breast Reconstruction.
